You wake up in the morning, you hurry to get ready for work, run out of
the door and completely ignore the importance of breakfast for your
daily life and energy. Or perhaps you take on your way to work a pretzel
or a muffin and coffee. Right?
Unfortunately, when it comes to health, none of the options above are
good ideas to start your day with. We must face it! Each of us are
dealing with the same problem: either we don’t have time for breakfast,
or we don’t have that many healthy options.

| Healthy Breakfast Ideas |
The first issue is time, in the morning we have one hour for make-up
and dressing but we don’t allow 15-20 minutes for a healthy breakfast.
Missing breakfast means that we start our day with an empty stomach and
once you start working, sugar levels from the blood are getting very
low. Therefore, your system requires action in this aspect and what is
your answer? If you answer with ‘donuts’ or other unhealthy pastry, you
should know that this is a absolutely wrong answer.
If the next breakfast ideas are the ones you usually think of, than you should think twice!
Sweetened or with excess of carbohydrates: pancakes with jam, donuts, pastries, bagels, processed muffins, etc.
Rich in fat: fried eggs, sausages, fatty cheeses, bacon, etc.
I am not against carbohydrates, but the problem with many of these
choices is that they don’t provide a healthy and normal caloric intake
in the morning.
So what healthy breakfast ideas you should consider?
Focus on eating proteins without too much saturated fat. Go for integral carbs, low-fat dairy, soy, etc.
Allow 15 minutes every morning for breakfast and try some of these healthy ideas and you will see changes in only few days.
- Cereals without sugar, walnuts, almonds and blueberries. Honey is highly recommended in the morning and also skimmed milk or soya.
- Fruit salad. Be creative! Mix your favorite fruits.
- Yogurt with whole grains and honey.
- Omelet with pepper, a bit of olive oil, onions and a small piece of bread.
- Grapefruit and toast with almond butter. Almond butter contains a lot of proteins that will give you a good energy bust for several hours.
- Protein shakes. For those under time pressure, a shake of proteins mixed with a banana and vitamin C would take less than 5 minutes to prepare.
- Orange juice and a toast with cheese and honey.
- One boiled egg with a salad of carrots.
